Abstract

Objective: To testify the validity of the modified temporal clustering analysis(TCA) method detecting the time curve of the active brain when the modified TCA treating the whole brain. Materials and Methods: The fMRI data of 8 volunteers receiving acupuncture at LI4 and two subjects receiving no stimulation. The modified TCA was used to deal with the corresponding fMRI data to detect the time curve of the active areas. Results: The averaged time curves of the 8 volunteers receiving acupuncture stimulation and the two volunteers receiving no stimulation were obtained using the modified TCA method and the results were in accord with the designs of the experiments. Conclusion: Based on the averaged results of multi-subjects, the modified TCA is effective in detecting the time curve of the whole brain.
