Abstract

Objective: To investigate the clinical value of real-time 3-plane quantitative tissue velocity imaging in ventricular systolic synchrony of coronary heart disease(CHD). Methods: 139 cases proved by coronary angiography were selected for synchronous real-time dynamic image acquisition of tissue velocity imaging, including apical 4-chamber view, apical 2-chamber view and long axis of left ventricle(LV) view. Then parameters such as time of systolic velocity(Ts) in the left and right ventricular walls’ basal segments were measured, and intraventricular and interventricular systolic dyssynchrony was compared. Results: Ts show significant difference in several LV walls’ basal segments among different groups(P<0.01 or P<0.05). Intraventricular and interventricular systolic dyssynchrony had no significant difference(P>0.05). The ventricular septum Ts had the maximum diagnostic value on coronary artery stenosis when the stenosis was larger than 50%(P<0.01). Conclusion: The real-time 3-plane quantitative tissue velocity imaging used in evaluation of ventricular systolic synchrony has higher sensitivity than conventional echocardiography in the diagnosis of myocardial ischemia.
